How to get to Minsk

Minsk is the capital of Belarus. The city is located in the heart of the country.

  By air

 

Minsk National Airport (MSQ) is the main air gateway to the Republic of Belarus.
The aircraft of many major airlines fly here (Belavia, Lufthansa, airBaltic, LOT, Aeroflot, Etihad Airways, Austrian Airlines, Czech Airlines, Turkish Airlines, UTair Airlines): www.airport.by.

You can go by bus or by minibus departing every 20-30 minutes, in the night every 1.5 hours from airport "Minsk" to the city centre. The trip takes 40-50 minutes. It costs ≈ €2,00.
A taxi from the airport to the city centre costs ≈ €20,00-30,00.

The second closest to the major airport Minsk is airport in Vilnius (VNO).
Flights to Vilnius are performed not only by traditional airlines, but also low-cost airlines (Wizzair, Ryanair, NorwegianAir, AirLituanica, AirBaltiс).
www.vilnius-airport.lt. To get from Vilnius to Minsk, you can go by bus or train. The distance is 183 km and the journey time is 2,5-4 hours (including border crossing). The cost is ≈ €10,00-20,00.

  By train

 

Minsk is linked by direct rail routes to all major European stations (Berlin, Warsaw, Vienna, Vilnius, Kiev, Moscow, Nice, Paris, Prague, Riga, St. Petersburg, etc.).

  By bus

 

One of the most budget ways to get to Minsk is to travel by bus.

Minsk has convenient bus connections to many European cities. Detailed information can be found on the companies' websites: LuxExpress, Eurolines, Ecolines.

  By car

 

Minsk is located at the intersection of major European motorways: Berlin - Warsaw - Minsk - Moscow and Vilnius - Minsk - Kiev - Odessa.

- for the citizens of Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Mongolia, Venezuela

 

Visa is not required if your stay does not exceed 30 days

- for the citizens of Cuba, Ecuador, Macau, Montenegro*, Qatar, Serbia, Turkey, UAE

an invitation or invitation letter of travel agency is required

- for the citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Samoa**, The Federated States of Micronesia, Vanuatu

**compulsory additional requirement:
1. a valid multiple visa of the EU member states or Schengen zone with a mark in passport on crossing the border of these states,
2. tickets with confirmation of departure from “Minsk National Airport” within 5 days from the date of entry
